EP Release Party: What a Night!

Though the temperature dipped into the forties on the night of November 15th, it didn’t stop things from heating up inside Leon’s Lounge for our EP release Party. 130 warmly-dressed, fired up, sexy people poured into the oldest continuously operated bar in Houston to hear our fifteen-song set.  Those who arrived early also heard Clory Martin’s eclectic set of originals, including “Chimney Top,” a song featuring Runaway Sun, and covers such as Sea of Love in the spirit of Cat Power, and Midlake’s Roscoe, with Jeff Senison on violin.

We began our set with the songs from our EP: Lily, Stoplight, This Evening, and The Ballad of Marylou.  If you missed the show and haven’t heard the EP, you can listen to it online at http://myspace.com/runawaysunmusic

Right now the EP is only for sale at our shows, but we’ll have it available online for you very soon.

Thanks to everyone who came out to the show!  We’re very excited to be a new band in Houston, and we’re constantly working on new songs, so please keep coming out to our shows.  We guarantee you’ll hear something new every time.
